I finally saw National Lampoon’s Vacation: Dorm Daze 2 after looking for a copy for the longest time.
I plopped it into my DVD player and proceeded to watch the movie. I was pleasantly surprised because it was a really funny movie. I thought that the National Lampoon movies were a waste of time, if not for the fact that Vida is in the cast I would not have watched the movie. Now I’m glad that I did. It was just hilarious and silly, and I really needed a good laugh after all of the pressures from work.
It was a good way to really end a very exhausting and crappy day. I had fun watching Vida on the screen. She was a good actress. I am not going to go all obsessed fan and claim that she should win an Oscar. But she was, in all seriousness, a competent actress. She was not wooden at all. She looked comfortable on camera and exuded confidence. I was really proud of her when I saw her performance. I was afraid that she may not really live up to what I was expecting, which is a modicum of acting talent. Just look at Demi Moore and how bad she acts. At least Vida was not like that, and she’s a rookie actress.
She is also a very commanding presence on screen. You cannot help but look at her because she is really pretty.
The movie is silly, yes. But then since it is a National Lampoon movie, it was quite understandable. And, as I’ve said, I wanted to get a few laughs and it delivered in that respect. This is a very fun movie to watch with friends and maybe even your girlfriend.
