Because of the explosion of the gaming industry worldwide and the humongous profits that game companies rake in every year due to the massive popularity of gaming as a hobby, gaming companies are becoming more and more extravagant in terms of the production values that they are incorporating into each and every game. Each game is progressively becoming bigger and so much more a “production” than anything else.

The gaming media has also taken notice of this new development so much so that the famous celebrities and artists who are collaborating or being asked to appear or perform in video games is as much an important facet of a game as the gameplay and the technology innovations. In fact, in most gaming awards given by many different media and industry outlets a category has been established honoring the celebrities that have done significant or noteworthy performances in video games. The addition of this category is a sign that the involvement of celebrities in the development of video games is not just a passing fad but actually the infancy of what will become an integral part of game production values and development.

In the recently concluded game awards ceremony hosted by the Spike TV Network Vida herself won in the Best Performance by a Human – Female beating other celebrities like Rosario Dawson and Tia Carrere. It looks like Vida’s sexiness can even translate itself into an all new medium like gaming. This is a great validation for Vida’s commercial appeal. This only mean that Vida is a good “investment” and that her involvement in a project also guarantees a level of success.
